SOME REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BUY ORGANIC OLIVE OIL
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Louianna Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced only from our estates located in Montorio Nei Frentani, Campobasso, Molise, Italy. It is not olive oil derived from different areas or regions outside of Molise, Italy.

EXTRA VIRGIN & FIRST COLD PRESSED

Extra virgin
Louianna Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is derived solely from the fruit of the olives using mechanical means, and particularly thermal conditions that do not lead to deterioration of the oil. The olives endure utterly no treatment other than washing, decantation, and centrifugation. Louianna is NOT obtained by means of solvents or of re-esterification and mixtures with other oils. Louianna Organic Olive Oil is certified Extra Virgin by ITS Caleb Brett and BIO-ALMENTA.

Louianna Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is unfiltered and for that reason the oil is cloudy, or sediment is present on the bottom of the bottle. It is these tiny and microscopic pieces of olives which are the significant source the vitamins and antioxidants such as polyphenols. Most olive oil that you find in the store are factory-produced and looks clear since they have been refined and or filtered. In general Extra Virgin Olive Oil is characterized by perfect flavor and odor, maximum acidity (oleic acid) of 1g/100g of 1% with maximum peroxide value mcq 02/kg of 20. In compliance with the organic certification Louianna is tested annually by BIO-ALMENTA. The November 2003 test results of our 2003 crop indicate an acidity level of 0.23%, and peroxides mcq 02/Kg 6.9 which clearly reveals superior quality.

Cold-pressed
This term represents that the olive oil is processed without the use of any heat. Many olive oil producers boost the quantity of oil extracted from the olives by heating them. This process certainly reduces the quality furthermore reduces the health benefits of the final product.

Louianna is derived from cold pressed olives and is only pressed once, ensuring that the true taste of these special varieties of olives remains real and intense. This cold-press method Louianna Inc. practices is one reason for the natural low level of acidity.

SOME REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BUY ORGANIC OLIVE OIL

Organic Products Meet Stringent Standards - Organic certification is the publics assurance that products have been grown and handled according to strict procedures without the use of persistent and toxic chemicals.

Organic Extra virgin Olive Oil tastes great! - It's common sense; well-balanced soils grow strong healthy plants that taste great!

Organic Production Reduces Health Risks - Many EPA-approved pesticides were registered long before extensive research linked these chemicals to cancer and other diseases. Organic agriculture is one way to prevent these chemicals from getting into the air, earth and water that sustain us.

Organic Farms Respect Our Water Resources - The elimination of polluting chemicals and nitrogen-leaching fertilizers, done in combination with organic soil building practices, protects our water resources.

Organic Farmers Build Soil - Soil is the foundation of the food chain. The organic farmer helps counteract topsoil erosion that has been linked to the agriculture practice of chemical-intensive, mono-crop farming.

Organic Farmers at Louianna Estates Work in Harmony with Nature - Organic agriculture respects the balance demanded of a healthy ecosystem; wildlife is encouraged by including forage crops in rotation and by retaining fence rows, wetlands, and other natural areas.

Organic Farming Helps Keep Rural Communities Healthy
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported that in 1997, half of U.S. farm production came from only 2% of farms. Organic agriculture can be a lifeline for small farms because it offers an alternative market where sellers can command fair prices for crops.
